BIG CHANGES

In a little under a month we’ll be packing up and moving to a new ‘hood and I honestly could not be more excited. After one visit to Capitol Hill I was hooked– I think I gushed the entire way home! It’s just such an incredibly charming area. Here’s to pancake breakfasts at Eastern Market, lazy days with the pup in Lincoln Park and afternoons watching paddle boats drift by on the Tidal Basin.

  1. Thats so exciting, congrats!! I am so jealous you get a new place to shop for, decorate and make home- so much fun! I hope you document it all and post lots and lots of pictures!

  2. Congrats!!! When I was in DC for a semester I loved walking around the side streets by the Hill, so cute and the perfect place to experience the best of the Capitol!

  3. Beautiful pictures! I lived on the Hill for nearly 10 years and loved it. There is such a sense of community. Best wishes for your move and getting settled into your new neighborhood.

  4. I love Capital Hill!! If we had stayed in DC (instead of moving to LA…) we would have definitely definitely bought a house on the 'Hill.

We once went house hunting years ago (waaaay before we could afford to buy) and I absolutely fell in love with this fantastic old Victorian on South Carolina Street… I had the the flyer hanging on our chalkboard with "Dream House" written above it for like two years. Can't wait to see photos – congrats!

  5. Thank you SO much everyone!! Seriously-you all are the sweetest, most supportive bunch a girl could ask for! I cannot wait to share all of my design inspiration with you for our new space. I'll definitely be needing your advice/opinions! xx

  6. The Hill is a wonderful place to live. I truly miss going to Eastern Market for fresh flowers, cheese and antiques!

  10. Welcome to the best neighborhood in DC! You actually have a photo posted of where I live!

Look for me a Scrapple in Lincoln Park – we're there for "doggy happy hour" most nights!
