A PEEK AT OUR NEW PLACE: DINING AREA

Life has been busy, busy, busy (can you tell by my lack of posts recently?) and I’ve missed you all! Our housewarming is this weekend so I’ve been frantically making trips to Home Depot and Ikea trying to tackle some last minute projects. I thought I’d share a few photos from the new place so you can see what I’ve been up to.

Remember how I was contemplating painting our dining room chairs yellow? Well, as you can see, we did it! I’m really happy with how they turned out, I love the pop of color it adds to a small space. I also love our bookcase featuring a lot of my favorite finds and treasures from my travels. Our dining table is dying for some fresh flowers but those will come this weekend from the farmer’s market. So what do you think? I hope I haven’t built it up too much! I’ll be anxiously awaiting your comments :)

  6. love the yellow chairs! I am currently painting our dining set white, it is taking forever since there are 8 chairs and a rather long table. I am planning to get the same Ikea bookshelf too but for our living room!

  7. Love the bold choice in color for the chairs – and may I ask where you found the black and white (or is it midnight blue and white) bowl on the top of the bookcase? I saw an orange one in a magazine yesterday, but it didn't give credit. Love it!!! Have a great housewarming party!

  13. Wow, that looks amazing!! So chic yet bright and fun.

When we bought our house, there was an old, dingy yellow chair/step stool in the kitchen. We stripped it, primed it and painted a great lime green that goes with a lot of my kitchen decor. Totally adds a great punch to the room!

    Love your blog!
