I love the casual elegance of Kate Spade’s Cloverdale Rose Bowl, pictured above in the bedroom of Lonny’s founder, Michelle Adams. Unfortunately, the gold polka dotted beauty is no longer available (please bring it back Kate Spade!) so a few months back I decided to improvise and create my own for our Thanksgiving table. My amateur version was incredibly easy to create with some gold paint and a little patience. Better yet, the most expensive part was the $3 I spent on the vase which was found at HomeGoods. So there you have it, my very own Cloverdale to hold me over until (fingers crossed) Kate Spade re-introduces it.

ah you are such a Martha my dear, really lovely!
Aw thanks, Helena. I wish I were even a quarter as talented as Martha! xo
why do you need Kate to bring hers back? I think yours looks great!
Julie
Yours looks gorgeous! No need for Kate
I, too, love this vase, you did a really great job!
I have the vase with the tiny small white dots, almost always filled with flowers! It’s my favorite!!
Northern Light
Absolutely PHENOMENAL! I am doing this over the weekend! Thanks for sharing!
xx
Make sure to report back with pics!
I’m such a geek (hence the blog name). I went out today and got all of the materials! I simply couldnt wait so I just did the project tonight! I’m obsessed! My polka dots may be a little to big but I can always try again! I”ll post early next week on the process and of course link back to you! Have a great weekend
xx
Yay! Can’t wait to see it! xo
OMG, I love it! Make me one??
Brilliant! And, I really think you need to email this post to Kate Spade! (great styling too, btw!)
I hope they don’t mind! Since it’s no longer available hopefully they’ll understand
xo
fantastic!!
That looks wonderful! I LOVE the Cloverdale vase- yours looks lovely!
Thanks, Bailey! xo
Yours is just as beautiful; I could barely tell the difference! I hope I could pull this off, because I’m now obsessed with the Cloverdale Rose bowl.
You’ll definitely be able to! It was very simple! xo
Oh, I could just kick myself for not getting the gold dot one back when it was available. I have two huge ones w/ clear dots (they actually don’t have the huge ones any more either…the “large” now was originally the medium). So I thought it would be silly to get a third. But I regret that decision every time I see it. I love your version – how clever! I think you should name it your Cleverdale rose bowl. xo
Ooh at least you have two clear ones! I’m kicking myself for not stocking up on any.. Maybe if enough people comment they’ll bring it back? Wishful thinking… xo
That vase is DIVINO (as they say here in panama!) you are so talented.
Divino, I love it! xo
