My hunt for the perfect fisherman’s sweater has finally ended although you might be surprised to hear my source. I knew LL Bean would be a great place to start my hunt but was disappointed to find not a fisherman sweater in sight in the women’s department. Never one to give up too easily, especially when shopping is involved, a quick search of the website led me to exactly what I was looking for… in the little boys department! A boy’s size large should fit perfectly and better yet, this fisherman’s sweater only set me back $28.99! I think I might need to start shopping in the little boys’ department more often!

love this!!! may need to order my own… this is fabulous – and such a steal!!
xx grace
Great find! I have a very stylish friend who repeatedly finds fabulous things in the boys department!!
I remember in an interview Jenna Lyons once encouraged shopping the boys department. If she suggests it, I’m all about it! xo
To say nothing of fashion-forward. A slightly shrunken boys’ fisherman sweater was shown in some great shoots this fall:).
Yes! Those shoots definitely fueled my obsession with finding the perfect sweater
What a fantastic idea – it’s amazing what fun finds are in (big) kid’s sizes. Love the sweater; it’s just the thing to help ride out the rest of winter!
What a great follow-up to your Ralph Lauren kids post! Haha, Sally and I are always scoping out the kids selection in places so we can get cheaper deals… She even tried to buy a kids XL Patagonia jacket in Colorado because it was $100 less than the women’s style. Great find!! One of my best friends got a great fisherman’s sweater for Christmas and I’ve been so jealous – enjoy yours!
xxoo

Ah! I always buy my Patagonia and North Face in childrens too! You can save so much money. xo
Gap has super cute ones on their sale section right now..im going to scoop them up this weekend!
Danielle, thanks for the tip about Gap! I might need to stock up on some more
I LOVE this jumper!
What a fab find!! I’m definitely ordering one of these asap. I’ve also been searching forever and the only ones I’ve found so far are just way too big and bulky, but this one looks adorable!
I would have never thought, love it!
Cozy AND Cute? Winning combination!
Love it and I often find great affordable items in the boys dept. Sometimes the sleeves are short but you can’t beat the price. Can’t wait to my 10 year old and i wear the same size!!!
perfect & a great price!
L.L.Bean- mehh…You are totally going to make it your own! Way to be resourceful! Happy Weekend, Linds!
Purchasing today! I really hope I’m as tiny as you though… I don’t know if I can get away with the kids department. Gulp! x
I hope I’m tiny enough to fit in it! It hasn’t come yet so I guess we shall see!
Ooh what a find!!! I am off to check them out:)
ps…I am having a give-away on my blog if you have a minute to stop over!!!!!!
Beautiful. Happy, Happy New Year.
wow!! resourceful & stylish – love it!!
Love. That is the perfect sweater!
Love your blog! Also love the sweater…I do this so much with different shirts, sweaters and even belts. While I don’t advertise that I do, it really makes sense economically and size-wise (because I’m little!). So glad to know someone else is doing it:) Please check out my blog sometime and leave a comment! Happy New Year~
Lindsay,
I love your blog, and I wanted you to know that I’m awarding you the “Stylish Blogger Award”. This award is passed on from blogger to blogger. Thank you so much! xo
I own several Ralph Lauren polo shirts in boys sizes – the fitted woman’s size is too cropped on my torso, while the boys sizes are much longer. I have a couple of casual button down shirts as well – you just have to get used to the buttons being on the opposite side!
Love it! In high school I would buy Lacoste polos in the little boys section as well. Definitely prefer the fit to the women’s. xo
Let me know how it fits…you must be a small?? very cute. Hope you had a great time when you were in Mass….Best, Julie
Yes, a small. I’ll definitely let you know how it fits though! Fingers crossed..
Oh that’s perfect!!!
