Have you had a chance to check out the premier issue of High Gloss Magazine? If you haven’t, you’re missing out! As I put some finishing touches on my apartment this weekend, I can’t help but revisit Jamie Meares’ gorgeous home for inspiration. Jamie’s blog I Suwannee is one of my daily must reads and I could easily drop a paycheck at her most recent venture, Furbish Studio. I absolutely love her bold use of color and expert mixing of patterns–exactly the look I’ve tried to create in my own home. This would be a much longer post if I attempted to describe everything I love about her home so we’ll just leave it at my top three:
1. Scalamandre Wallpapered Bar
2. Monogrammed Zebra Shower Curtain
3. Fab Lamps
Have a great weekend everyone!

Slightly obsessed with the Scalamandre zebra wallpaper as well
I agree with you on all counts!
xo
Her home jumped out at me, too! It is so inviting, while still being high design. Definitely the kind of place you would like to be invited for cockatils!
High Gloss is PERFECT.
I love the idea of Matchbook… but High Gloss reallllly knocked it out of the park!
(Plus Matchbook had a serious case of “trapped white space”… yikes!)
I think I need a little bit of scalalamandre in my life! I will probably have to settle for their umbrella for now.
Wow, what incredible interirors – lvoe the mixign of patterns and style the bathroom looks so funky and fun with that bathmat, bleached stick and black and white tiles.
i just adore Jamie’s shop and home! When I saw her wallpapered bar, it made me instantly think of this print I saw at Not A Gallery…http://www.notagallery.com/2010/09/royal-1.html
hope you’re having fun with your mom, lindsay!

i know right. the apartment Erin GAtes designes was insane as well
Wow, I love the amount of invigorating color. That print over the bed and the rug in the bathroom are both awesome and playful. Off to check out the rest of the magazine! : )
AH! I was only recently introduced to Jamie’s work, but I loved her home in High Gloss AND I adore Furbish. Glad you highlighted it here!
I love that shower curtain! So simple, yet so chic!
I adore everything and anything monogrammed. I remember interviewing Jonathan Adler and he told me this is the perfect way to add glamor to the most boring object. Well he was right. Who knew a shower curtain could be so ooh la la xxx
Thanks JoAnn for noticing the connection to the NotAGallery zebra artwork (http://www.notagallery.com/2010/09/royal-1.html)! Yes, it’s the same wallpaper which I photographed and digitally painted for the piece. It was all over the walls of an amazing Italian restaurant near my apartment in New York, which just closed recently. Such a great print.
Cheers!
