One of the folders in my perpetually cluttered iphoto is dedicated to fashion inspiration. I spent some time last night browsing through it in search of ideas for spring (if it ever gets warm here in DC!) and couldn’t help but be drawn to these photos of Viviana Volpicella, Assistant Fashion Editor for Vogue Nippon. Yellow seems to be her signature color, no? I think I’ll take a cue from the Italian born beauty and invest in a billowy yellow blouse this spring. Asos has a great option available but I’ll be on the lookout for more.

In addition to spending lots of time outsideĀ  enjoying the freshly bloomed cherry blossoms, I’ll also be spending quite a bit of time indoors this weekend re-painting our bedroom. I’m taking my cues from this quote by legendary interior decorator, Elsie de Wolfe. I think white will be the perfect backdrop for all of the crazy colors and patterns I have in mind.

I might be throwing elbows during rush hour today in an attempt to get home as fast as humanely possible to unwrap a little package (okay, big package) that is waiting on my doorstep. And the leopard obsession continues… Anyone else as impatient as I am when you’re expecting something in the mail?

I haven’t stopped obsessing about JJ Winters chain strap handbags since I spotted the lime green beauty in The Zoe Report last week (Do you subscribe?) I love the juxtaposition of the classic chain strap paired with electric hued exotic leathers like crocodile and ostrich. I was bracing myself for sticker shock but was pleasantly surprised to find that these will only set you back $85! Very affordable for a bag you will undoubtedly be reaching for often. Now to decide on a color…
