I have black tie event to attend that is quickly approaching and unfortunately my search for the perfect dress has yielded less than promising results. It seems as though I have an uncanny knack for honing in on stunning dresses which fall into the hopelessly aspirational category. Case in point: this Issa number which I’d snap up in an instant if price were no object. I may be striking out on the dress, but I think I’d hit it out of the park with either pair of these gorgeous Jennifer Miller earrings. Currently I’m leaning towards the emerald but think that the turquoise could be an equally striking alternative (and quite the departure from the sea of pearl/diamond studs that are guaranteed to be on display here in DC.)
I’d love to hear your opinions, which would you choose?

They’re both gorgeous. The emeralds feel more black tie to me, but I love the turquoise ones. So I’m not very helpful. But what might be helpful: the Potomac Mills outlets. They’re completely hit or miss, but I’ve gotten really lucky at the Neiman Marcus one a couple times.

Ah – that dress you chose is goregous! I like the green becuase I think they are definitely black tie worthy but you would probably get more miles out of the turquoise and they are very fitting for spring… Tough choice!

Have you tried Rent the Runway? I had an amazing experience with them for a black tie. and when you order one, you get any other for 25.00..so i ended up with two options just in case I had a meltdown while getting ready(I can send you an invite if you need one!)

Hmm depends on the dress, but I’d go with emeralds for a black gown. Tuquoise would be awesome with a white or lighter gown a la Eva Mendes circa the 2009 Oscars.

I think both earrings are gorgeous, I am jewelry obsessed… I think the emerald drops are stunning but may be a bit overplayed by Angelina and Kyle (from Real Housewives Beverly Hills), but this may be because I am partial to turquoise jewelry..! I’ve also had good luck with Kenneth Jay Lane, Kendra Scott, Amrita Singh and the collection at Max & Chloe. No matter what you choose I’m sure you’ll look fabulous

For black tie I would choose the emerald. Unless of course the dress has some type of gold on it…which I doubt is the case. Emerald. And I’m sure you’ll find the perfect dress or dig through your closet and wear a number you haven’t seen in a while… I’d love to know what you end of wearing and the jewelry.

My favorite housewife of LA, Kyle Richards, has the emerald ones as her go to earrings. SHe always wore them on the show and I adored them so much I ordered a pair. They are killer. go for the green.
