I know I talk a lot about color and pattern on this blog but as we enter the dog days of summer and look ahead to fall, I find myself craving a more neutral palette. A cleanse of sorts after a gluttonously colorful season. The images above are my inspiration. Lots of crisp white, oatmeal, cognac, and a touch of animal print because I consider it to be a neutral. I’m already itching to wear my new Tibi cheetah blazer!

I seriously laughed out loud at this because that’s EXACTLY what I woke up thinking this morning. I’m wearing a cream colored blouse with oatmeal linen pants. It’s so hot outside that I need something to calm me down
Your outfit sounds amazing. I need a pair of oatmel linen pants! xx
Oh I love that coat! I can’t wait to wear a “winter” white suit I bought last year. It’s a little too warm, really hot, for now! I’d love a crisp white blouse, but I DON’T iron…what to do????
Buy a steamer! Inexpensive and so much easier than ironing!
the outfit in number four is perfect for the summer!
With all the public transportation I take each day (bus & metro), I’m terrified of wearing all white – but you’ve convinced me that I have got to try it soon!
Good point, I’m a metro rider as well and I can only imagine how grimy I would get. Maybe I’ll keep my whites for the weekend!
white and cream are so elegant, regardless of the season I think. These are so pretty! I might want to wear white on white tomorrow! xoxo
