ONE ROOM CHALLENGE: WEEK TWO

Happy 4th of July! With so much to do, there’s no time to break break for holidays so I hope you’ll enjoy this week’s update. If you’re new to this series, start at  Week One to get caught up to speed.

THE PROJECT
This week’s project was to re-paint the space. The previous color which you can see in the before photos was a creamy-yellowish white. It wasn’t terrible, but I was looking for something that would off-set the gallery wall and lighting fixture I have planned.

At the hardware store, I immediately gravitated towards shades of mint green and light turquoise. After what seemed like a million paint swatches, I finally found the perfect shade.

Seafoam Green by Benjamin Moore…

My photos don’t do it justice. It really is the most gorgeous shade and makes me so happy whenever I’m in the space.

Crossing goal #1 off my list. Painting is done! What do you think?

THE GOALS
-Paint, paint, paint!
-Update light fixture
-Invest in artwork
-Create a gallery wall

NEXT STEP
Updating the light fixture. Check back next Wednesday to see my progress!

  1. The name “seafoam” brings back bad memories of the 70′s bridesmaids dresses for me!! However, this new SF, changing the name! is very pretty! It looks fantastic in your space!

  2. hi! I love the colour, did you just use that paint to get the colour on your walls? Because when I clicked on the link for seafoam green, it sent me to a pic of this colour that looked WAY lighter than the one on your walls… any tips to get exactly the colour on your walls? I love it!

    • Hi Huma, I just used two coats of Benjamin Moore’s Seafoam Green. I’d definitely recommend picking up a sample because paint will look different from room to room depending on the light etc. Hope this helps!
