Almost two years ago, I re-posted a feature from J.Crew called ‘What’s in Marissa’s Bag’. In the feature, Marissa Webb (at the time head of Women’s Design for J.Crew) shared the chic contents of her purse. I remember being obsessed with her Alexander McQueen tassel key chain and the hot pink matches she had stashed for inspiration.
From a style standpoint I was smitten, but what really impressed me was the email I received from Marissa’s assistant afterwards. Apparently Marissa had read my post and wanted to send a thank you note for my kind words. I died!
Ever since, I’ve been a big fan and was thrilled when Marissa decided to launch her own collection. The collection debuted on Saturday at NYFW and was absolutely stunning. The perfect mix of feminine silhouettes, edgy leather, pattern, and a dash of neon.
I can’t wait to see what she does next!
