Jessica Durrant Dreamy Necklace | Half Back | Bird of Paradise

I like to think that stumbling upon amazing artists like Jessica Durrant totally justifies the many hours I’ve spent clicking through etsy. No judgement, you know you do it too!

One small project I’d like to tackle in 2013 is adding some artwork to my closet. Since it’s one of the first places I spend time in the morning, I think it should be extra beautiful– even more so because I am not a morning person!

I think one of Jessica’s fashion illustrations would be the perfect piece to get me started. I’ve narrowed it down to these three. Which would you choose? I’m kind of leaning towards Dreamy Necklace because it reminds me of this Van Cleef necklace I’m obsessed with, but I could be swayed.

P.S if you love fashion illustration 100 Years of Fashion Illustration is a great read and the cover is gorgeous. (Just in case you might be one of those people who judges a book by its cover… guilty!)

  1. I vote for the second one because of the color, the print and the fact that it captures everyday beauty (as opposed to a special event). They’re all pretty though!

  2. I personally think the first, third and then the second.

The lines and just a pop of color on the first is so elegant and lets your eye follow down with an exclamation to finish.

I would love to get one done too.

  3. They are all fabulous pieces of art which bring a smile to the lips but for me it is either Dreamy Necklace or Bird of Paradise.

More so Bird of Paradise there is just something a little bit extra on top of the Dreamy Necklace the hair and the make up with the detail feathers are just perfect. In a different colour like magenta with smaller earrings it would be perfect :D GREAT BLOG :D
