I recently realized it’s been about three months since I used up the last spritz in my perfume and I still haven’t bought another bottle. I’m having commitment issues. I’ve worn Chance and Mademoiselle but I just don’t think they’re the ones. You know, my signature scent. Doesn’t that expression sound so “ladies who lunch”? Love it.

If I were to pick purely on aesthetics, I’d love to find something by Jo Malone or Le Labo. Their bottles are just too chic. Molly has me curious about Joie’s Folle de Joie and I’m even considering revisiting kai, the fragrance I wore in high school.

So do tell, have you found your signature scent? If not, what are you currently wearing?

P.S be sure to visit me over on Cupcakes for Breakfast today where I’m sharing how I’m  “Figuring it Out”

  1. My ‘signature’ scent is Falling in Love by Philosophy. I’ve been wearing it for about 7-8 years now. It has a subtle blackberry/vanilla aroma but it’s not overly sugary. I find that not many people wear it even though it is very popular. Men tend to really like it. I also wear Love & Toast’s Honey Coconut which is a bit more for the summer. You should try some of the fragrances by Margot Elena….if not for the sheer beauty she put into the packaging!! My favorite is WISH! Her Tokyo Milk line is lush as well. I have the No. 112 Sugar Bomb in the Mix N Match Parfume line.
So much to enjoy….and wait until you smell her candles!! SIGHHHHHH

  2. I don’t have a signature scent because I don’t want to create too strong a Pavlovian reaction to others! I love to change between Jo Malone Lime basil mandarin in the summer to Hermes eau de merveilles in the winter and use whatever pressies I get for my birthday and Xmas in between…Although I always have a bottle of Chanel No 5 when I have the urge to get a whiff.

  3. I just bought Philosophy Living Grace, and I’m loving it! Very light and fresh for spring. Perfect for those who have cubicle neighbors that you don’t want to overwhelm 🙂

  4. I am a Jo Malone girl. My favorite thing is you can mix scents to create a new scent whenever you are feeling bored. I love the English Pear & Freesia, Pomegranate Noir, Nectarine Blossom & Honey and Vanilla & Anise. I have a little bit of an obsession. They are really great about giving tons of samples and suggesting pairings.

  5. For the longest time Allure was my go to perfume. Then I came across Dior Pure Poison. This has quickly become my signature scent. It’s not as pungent or fruity as the original Poison, and is a bit more musky which has me addicted. I get tons of compliments on it, and my BF can’t get enough of it either. Bonus…my mom wore Poison so this is a bit of an hommage to her.

  6. I wear Chanel Mademoiselle in the fall and winter and Kai the summer unless I am heading out with the hubby, then I wear Mademoiselle. They are my go to scents now and I don’t stray much anymore.

  7. I love Kai! It’s one of my favorites. I also use Trish McEvoy 3. My every day “signature scent” is Philosophy Amazing Grace. I love how light it is and the scent lasts all day. I get compliments on it daily.

  8. My signature scent has always been Michael Kors by Michael Kors but I think it is probably time for a change… I also love Tahitian Gardenia by Pacifica but the bottle is not so chic… have you ever tried buying one of those perfume atomizer bottles to make the desk look cute?

    Love the post!

  9. I agonized over this for years. I always feel completely overwhelmed by fragrances. I finally settled on Burberry Brit, which I like a lot, but have to admit I was satisficing a bit. (Not that that’s necessarily a bad thing!) I need to write down everyone’s suggestions from here and try ONLY those next time…

  10. I have worn those too but I am a Jo Malone girl now. I love Jo Malone’s “Blue Agava & Cacao” – try it! 🙂

  11. My signature scent is Estée Lauder Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia. It’s light and flowery. It was actually Aerin Lauder’s private personal scent until she released I to the public. I got it for Christmas from my mom the irst year it came out and haven’t looked back!

  12. Annick Goutal never disappoints, My signature scent is Annick Goutal Chevrefeuille for fall and winter and Matin d’Orage for spring and summer.

  13. My “signature scent” has been Coco Chanel for the past ten plus years. I consistently receive compliments on that particular fragrance. Though seasonally I do break up the monotony of only wearing one scent with Kai and Fracas, both lovely alternatives.
