Kenneth Jay Lane Lapis Spike Necklace | Athena Procopiou Scarf | Ivy Kirzhner Flats | Tory Burch Spectator Mini (25% off!) | Wayne Pate ‘Olive Jug’
Interior designer, Vern Yip, recently helped Diet Pepsi freshen up for spring by designing this limited edition peacock patterned mini can. In celebration of Diet Pepsi’s Love Every Sip campaign I’m sharing a spring love list inspired by Vern’s design.
When I read that Vern used Dusk Blue, one of Pantone’s spring fashion color report colors, I immediately pulled together some of the blue items that have made their way onto my wish list. A lapis lazuli necklace I think I actually might like better than the original turquoise, fancy feet flats, a favorite piece of artwork by Wayne Pate, and a statement making scarf.
Pair any of these accessories with crisp whites and you’ll be set straight through summer. Has there ever been a more perfect color combination?
P.S if you’d like to share what’s on your love list tweet @dietpepsi, #loveeverysip!
Last week, Kathryn and I had a few hours to kill in Raleigh before heading back to DC. I guess we weren’t quite ready to let the design binge of Market come to an end so we headed over to Furbish to keep the high going.
If you search my archives you’ll find a semi stalker-ish amount of references to Jamie and Furbish so you can imagine how excited I was to finally see the store in person. Grainy iphone photos just don’t do it justice! It’s totally one of those stores where you have to do a few laps before you’re even able to start processing all the design goodness that surrounds you, never mind actually decide what you’re bringing home.
So what did I bring home? A beautiful burlwood frame, a mini vase for my bedroom, a new case for my perpetually scratched sunnies, and some cards for upcoming occasions. If not for the confines of a commuter jet, that chair might have come home with me too. Good thing there’s always online shopping…

After shoes, my jewelry is one of the first things to come off when I get home. To help corral the clutter I’ve scattered some vintage dishes (I can never resist a one-off in a pretty pattern) in strategic spots around the house. Yes, sometimes a pair of earrings still ends up on the arm of the sofa but overall it’s been a helpful way to keep things somewhat neat and accounted for. Having my favorite pieces out in plain sight is actually really helpful too.
The most recent addition to my little collection is the turquoise lusterware dish I picked up at a local antique store. A cheap thrill that reminds me of some of my favorite Waylande Gregory pieces. Filled with my beautiful ASHA by ADM jewelry it’s even more lovely.
Just curious, how do you store your jewelry?
If you love color and pattern as much as I do, you probably already have a few Sheridan French pieces on your wish list. Seeing my friend Hanna wearing the Lillian Skirt in her Glitter Guide feature earlier this week has me coveting it even more!
To help you cross those items off your wish lists and get them into your spring wardrobe, the Sheridan French team is offering The Pursuit of Style readers 10% off through Thursday, May 2 with code: YESPLEASE.
In case you need help narrowing it down (which I always do) the Pippa Shorts, Marlowe Pants, and aforementioned Lillian Skirt are my top picks. Happy shopping!
