There are plenty of things I’ve been known to bemoan about living in DC: the humidity, high cost of rent, the populations apparent love for beige interiors, the less than a quarter of a second window you have after a light turns green before the car behind you lays on the horn, and–how could I forget–the inefficiency of just about every government agency (not to mention my local CVS)…
But then I take a walk around my neighborhood and remember exactly what I love about living here. The charm, the history, and the excitement of living in a city that continues to transform before our eyes–our food scene even got some love from the WSJ this weekend. In an effort to be a little less of a curmudgeon and appreciate the things I do love about DC, here are a few of my favorite homes spotted on a walk around Capitol Hill.
Maybe it’s a little voyeuristic of me, but aren’t you curious to know what’s behind those doors?
