I may have been reluctant to embrace fall, but the temperatures have finally dropped and we’re in that sweet spot of autumn where there’s a crispness to the air but you don’t quite need a jacket. The leaves are starting to turn and it’s almost time to stock up on my favorite fall candle. I think I anticipate buying a new Pumpkin Chai candle like coffee lovers anticipate their first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season.
A trip out to Butler’s Orchard has become another fall tradition. We headed out this weekend intending to pick apples but ended up in their pumpkin patch instead. After searching for the perfect pumpkins we headed down to the farm market to buy some of their addictive pies–lemon blueberry buckle for me and apple for Garrett–it’s probably the real reason this has become an annual pilgrimage.
If you’re in the DC/MD/NOVA area I’d definitely recommend a visit!
