Zebra has always been my hide of choice (side note: that sounds really creepy and makes me want to quote Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs: “It puts the lotion on its skin”), traditional cowhide just didn’t do it for me. It always felt a little blah in comparison to the exoticism of zebra.
Well, this must be a week of firsts, because I’m changing my tune on cowhide too after noticing a trend I’m calling cowgirl glam: cowhide with hints of metallic. It feels much more city slicker than wild wild west, right?
This rug was the first piece to catch my eye. I’m picturing it layered on top of a natural fiber rug adding just the right amount of glam to an otherwise neutral space. If you’re not ready to commit to a rug, these coasters are a good gateway drug.
Trends in fashion and interiors are always closely linked, so I wasn’t surprised to find a few items for your closet too. The framed heel on these booties stopped me in my tracks. So unique, but somehow I can still see myself reaching for them season after season. If flats are more your thing, you can never go wrong with Loefller Randall.
So what do you think, are you ready to giddyup?
