The Pursuit of Style

Confession: I went through most of the day yesterday thinking it was Monday. Clearly I’m not back into the swing of things just yet. If you missed yesterday’s post, there are just a few days left to save on reservations to what I happen to think is one of the most charming inns in New England and I announced some exciting news!

The good thing about realizing I was a day ahead of myself is that I had more time than I thought to put together my New Year’s Eve outfit for the Gatsby themed party we’re attending. I was this close to pulling the trigger on this dress (Parker is on point for 1920s inspired frocks–I’m also obsessed with this and thiswhen I remembered I had this champagne sequined BCBG number hanging in the back of my closet.

With a tangle of pearls and cocktail rings I think it will work for channeling my inner Daisy Buchanan, no? If only I had thought to buy one of those amazing rhinestone headbands… Where will you be celebrating tomorrow night? Any traditions? Wherever you are, I hope you have a safe and happy New Year’s Eve. I couldn’t be more excited about welcoming 2014!
