MAINE ATTRACTION: THE INN AT ENGLISH MEADOWS

Over the past few years we’ve made a trip to Maine one of our summer traditions. This past summer we stayed at The Inn at English Meadows and if you remember this post, you know that we fell hard for its charm and vowed to come back again soon.

I’m a New Englander at heart and nothing sounds more enticing to me than a foot of fresh powder and a spot to hunker down by the fire; so when Garrett spilled the beans a bit early that he had booked us a room for a post-Christmas getaway I was pretty over the moon.

Kennebunkport is decked out for Christmas Prelude and I think you can see from the photos above why it was voted by HGTV as the #2 Christmas town in America (my camera is definitely coming with me!)

If you’ve always wanted to visit Maine, or are in need of a last minute gift (we decided to give my parents a Gift Certificate after our stay this summer!) I have an amazing offer to share thanks to Liz and Eric, owners of The Inn at English Meadows.

Here’s the deal:
Mention PS for 20% off any reservation madeĀ for 12/10/13 – 4/30/14 OR add 20% to any Gift Certificate purchased in December.

Be sure to like The Inn at English Meadows on Facebook by Dec 11th for a chance to win a $100 Gift Certificate!

Keeping it real: This post was sponsored by The Inn at English Meadows, a business I am happy to support and look forward to visiting for years to come!

  1. This is my hometown and I love it there! I will be there between Christmas and New Year’s visiting my family. I am happy to give you any recommendations if you are interested. Also, my sister (Anna Dixon) and her business partner (Nicki Bongiorno) own a retail home goods shop in Kennebunkport which you should visit while you are in town – Spaces Kennebunkport. Enjoy your winter getaway!

    • Hi Kaitlin, very jealous your able to call Kennebunkport your home town! I’d love any recommendations you might have. We’re always looking for new spots to try and who better than a local to guide us, right? I visited Spaces this summer and LOVED it! What a small world! We’ll definitely stop by again this trip. xx

  2. Maine is on my list this year. I am book marking this. My husband and I try to travel as much as possible. This year we decided we are going to take a couple of small trips and stay in the US, instead of a big trip. Thanks for sharing!

    • You will love it! All the charm of a B&B but with chic amenities of a larger hotel (Frette Linens, Malin + Goetz products etc.) If you’re not sure when you’d be going definitely take advantage of the gift card deal. xx

  3. You’ve reminded me that I wanted to visit Kennebunkport during the holidays – I almost forgot. In the five years we’ve lived in Maine, we’ve never experienced Christmas Prelude. We’ll have to see if we can fit in a visit this weekend! Also, I’m so happy to read about the deal at the Inn at English Meadows. Although we’ve never been before, we’d heard such good things from friends & trusted bloggers (ahem!) that we felt comfortable including them on our roundup of the top ten places to stay in Maine for The Guardian this fall. We’re anxious to finally experience a night or two at the inn ourselves!
