With Easter this Sunday, and Mother’s Day right around the corner, there are plenty of opportunities to break out your favorite china, pick up some flowers from the market and set a gorgeous table. I’m feeling inspired by this orange and pink beauty designed by Anne Hepfer via House&Home. The fabric is Manuel Canovas’ Bengale Toile which just so happens to be the same fabric I used in the project featured in this sneak peek. As beautiful as this table is I’m not sure I’d be able to use my beloved Bengale Toile as a tablecloth- I’d probably cry if it were stained!

Diane von Furstenberg is one of my absolute favorite designers. On those days when I just can’t find the right thing to wear, I often find myself reaching for one of her iconic wrap dresses in a punchy print. Given my love for DVF, I’ve been anxiously awaiting the launch of her home collection which debuted this past Friday at Bloomingdales. It certainly did not disappoint! I’m lusting after a set of dessert plates in one of her signature prints. I would mix these with solid place settings for an undeniably stylish soiree. Have you seen the collection? What are your favorites?

If you’re looking for a last minute cocktail to serve to New Year’s Eve revelers, the Sparkling Melange, a creation of the Ritz Carleton in Georgetown looks easy and delicious. Mix equal parts Veuve Clicquot and St. Germain then serve (preferably in these Kate Spade Coupes , of course!) Now just line up your midnight kiss and have a confetti popper at the ready. You’ll be all set to ring in 2011!

Recently I had the exclusive opportunity to interview three of my very favorite bloggers Katie, Jane, and Fallon, who have teamed up to create what is sure to be an amazing publication, Matchbook Magazine. I’ve been anxiously awaiting its launch so you can imagine my excitement to be able to chat with these three talented ladies!
