Happy June! In honor of what I consider to be the first day of summer here’s a round up of colorful items to get you in the spirit.
Turkish towels, called foutas, are the perfect companion for a day at the beach or pool. Now to decide on a color…I’m planning on hanging this grapefruit painting by Elizabeth Mayville in our kitchen to add some much needed charm. As usual, Jamie Meares is tempting me with gorgeous textiles over at Furbish Studio. Imperial Trellis has never looked better! Finally, I’m convinced I need to add this kissing cockatoos bracelet to my jewelry collection. I’m a sucker for animal inspired jewelry!

It’s been awhile since my last “In Pursuit” post which of course means there have been quite a few additions to my wish list. Yesterday I checked off this Diana Delgado painting which I can’t wait to hang in our bedroom. In the same vein, I’m loving these lattice printed sheets. I am literally counting down the days until my pool opens Memorial Day weekend, and one of these ikat beach towels seems like a necessity for lounging. While I’m at it, I’d like to add a Steffanie Johnson tote for stowing sunscreen and other essentials. Finally, Loren Hope’s Roxy necklace is just the thing to jazz up all of my little white dresses. Anyone else as ready for summer as I am?

Remember this dress that I included in an In Pursuit a few weeks ago? Well, I pulled the trigger on that pretty lady and am now on the hunt for some jewels to dress her up with. I’m leaning towards turquoise because I just can’t get enough of it. Here are a few options I’ve rounded up. Do you have a favorite?

This week’s In Pursuit mixes neon brights with classic neutrals. For a formal event this spring, I’m torn between a Grecian inspired Tibi dress fancied up with statement jewels or a bold pair of B Brian Atwood heels paired with a classic LBD. I’m adding a few smaller accessories to my spring essentials list: a new pair of Jack Rogers which I re-invest in every year, a striped scarf (Gap is really stepping it up!), the perfect shade of turquoise polish and a notebook and pen to write down some new life goals. The big ticket item which I’m filing away as a potential birthday wish list item are these timeless Tiffany knot earrings. I’m fairly certain I’d wear them everyday!
