NINE SPACE

There’s nothing better than coming across a new-to-you brand. Especially if said brand happens to have a gorgeous lookbook filled with dreamy light filled photos. Nine Space is just that brand. The stunning photos above are from their Summer 2012 Lookbook.

If I weren’t already vacationing on the Cape, I’d be a bit jealous. Isn’t the beach the perfect backdrop for their gorgeous foutas? I’m wishing I had one in my beach bag!

PAUL COSTELLO

Last night I spent some time doing a little virtual housekeeping. Remember the pre-pinterest days where we actually bookmarked things? Anyway, I ended up reacquainting myself with Paul Costello’s website and spent at least an hour mesmerized by his portfolio.

You may recognize his work from the pages of Domino (among countless other magazines) and many of these images have made the rounds on blogs- one look and you can understand why! Here’s a fun fact: Sara Ruffin Costello, former creative director of Domino, is Paul’s wife. So jealous of their children’s creative gene pool!

Another interesting tidbit I picked up while on Paul’s site is that he is collaborating with Miles Redd on a book! I did a little research and it looks like the book will be titled Big Book of Chic and will be released in September 2012. That is one tome I will definitely be pre-ordering!

PUPPY LOVE

The past week has been a rough one. Between work craziness and a sick pup that needed emergency surgery, things got a little overwhelming. This week, I’m thankful to have a pup that’s on the mend (cone of shame included) and am focusing on getting re-organized and tackling my to-do list one step at a time.

Since I’ve had dogs on the brain, I thought it was only appropriate to re-visit some photos from Dogs in Vogue: A Century of Canine Chic which I’ve posted about before. I would love to re-create that first photo but with a pile of golden retriever puppies– yes, I am a crazy dog person!

SPRING BREAK DAYDREAMS

Calypso Ikat Bikini | Tom Ford Sunglasses | Milly Tunic | Anya Hindmarch Tote

Wouldn’t it be nice if the real world operated on a college schedule with a week built in for spring break? Massimo Vitali’s dreamy Italian beach photos certainly have me longing for a getaway. My pasty winter skin could definitely use a bit of sun! If I were to hop on a plan here are a few things I’d want to have in my suitcase. I’m particularly obsessed with Calypso’s ikat bikin! Will you be headed somewhere tropical this spring?

KITE RUNNER

One of my New Year’s resolutions is to put my passport to good use and travel. I enjoyed visiting new cities all over the US this year, but in 2011 I’m craving something more adventurous. TheseĀ stunning photos of the Uttarayan Kite Festival in India remind me why I love traveling so much. There’s just so much inspiration to be found in the culture and tradition of new places. The Kite Festival takes place on January 14th so if you’re feeling spontaneous you still have time to pack a bag and jet off. Be sure to report back!
