Things that need to happen: this room. I’ve been having a full blown love affair with Missoni Home (the only form of chevron I can tolerate these days) which, of course, led to a little daydream decorating. I imagine this client to an editor–or maybe she’s in PR–regardless, her fashion game is fierce and her home needs to reflect that cool girl chic.

Kelly Wearstler’s new collection for Visual Comfort debuted at Market and I’m all about this urchin chandelier. A vintage Platner chair is on my fantasy finds list–ideally I find a pair at a garage sale for $50 and contain my freak out just until I get those babies into the car. You know, typical design dork daydreams.

In my opinion this is the perfect lucite coffee table. The brass accents? Yessss. A pair of Missoni pillows adorn the white tuxedo sofa because this client is the type of gal who will keep that pristine–she always eats out. A Madeline Weinrib rug is a no brainer, the print might as well be a DVF wrap dress and she’s all about the mix.

 Let’s make this happen, okay?

The Pursuit of Style

Normally I’m a gold girl through and through, but lately I’ve found myself drawn to cool and modern metallic silvers. I’m under a strict self imposed shopping ban, but someone should scoop up this Missoni infinity scarf marked down to only $58 in Shopbop’s sale. I’m already trying to justify it to myself. It’s Missoni, a classic right?

I’m also obsessed with this quatrefoil mirror under consideration for a client’s bathroom. I was actually surprised to see a similar mirror in one of Parish-Hadley’s rooms from decades earlier. I guess it’s true what they say, there are no new trends in interior design. Everything really does come back around.

I indulged myself in a marathon of Million Dollar Decorators this weekend (crazy Saturday night, I know) and kept hitting pause on the gallery wall in Martyn Lawrence Bullard’s office. He has this photo of Bridget Bardot blown up behind his desk. Perhaps another photo to add to my closet?

My J.Crew ensemble and Longchamp tote for your Missoni wrap and Cartier bag. Sounds like a fair trade right? I’ll be flying back to the freezing weather of D.C today, sadly not looking anywhere nearly as chic as Fergie.
Here’s hoping my pink pashmina will keep me somewhat warm considering I neglected to bring a coat!
