This riot of color is currently making me insanely happy. My normally type-A self doesn’t even care that my desk is basically unusable because every inch is covered in wallpaper and fabric memos.
I’m working with some fantastic new clients and we’re racing the clock to make some design magic happen before Thanksgiving. Wallpaper is involved and you know that’s my crack.
More to come… Until then, I’ll be staring at this candy striped moire like a middle school girl with a crush.
Just when I thought I was done with Scalamandre’s iconic Zebras I see Sam Allen’s envy inducing bedroom in the latest edition of House Beautiful and am sucked right back in like a bad relationship. Then, I spot this zebra lined safari jacket and dancing zebra blouse among C.Wonder’s new arrivals. I wish I knew how to quit you….
What do you think, overplayed or do you still have a soft spot?
1. Freshening up my inspiration page. Scalamandre’s Tigre is my favorite animal print du jour. Oh, what I would do for a pair of those pillows!
2.Contemplating the perfect shade of charcoal to paint my dining room table. I think I’m pretty close to pulling the trigger on Benjamin Moore’s “Soot”.
3.Spending way too much time curating my Pinterest boards.
4.Vetting recipes to contribute to Thanksgiving dinner. Garden and Gun’s Cornbread Oyster Dressing is a front runner.
5.Writing guest posts galore for the holidays. I’ll be sure to share once they’re posted!
6.Thankful, as always, to the men and women who risk their lives make sacrifices daily to protect and serve our country.
What have you been up to lately?
It’s raining and gloomy in DC today, but I’m secretly hoping that there is more rain in the forecast while I eagerly await the arrival of my Scalamandre umbrella scored on One Kings Lane. This had been a longstanding item on my wish list, so I was thrilled to see it pop up on sale. If you’re interested in purchasing your own, there are still travel and large sized versions available in the yellow colorway, and the large size is available in the black colorway. I’d still kill to have a bathroom wallpapered in this iconic pattern, but for now, the umbrella will have to do!
