You know what I’m not loving? The fact that the U, T, and Y keys mysteriously stopped working on my keyboard. Thank god for the Genius Bar because I quickly realized you can’t get too far without good old U, T, and Y!
Anyway, on to what I am loving: Valentine’s Day. It’s right around the corner, and as polarizing of a holiday as it seems to be, I’ve always taken a broader view and taken it as an opportunity to shower everyone in my life, romantic or otherwise, with a little love.
In the spirit of pink and candy hearts, here are three appropriately themed bedrooms. You just can’t go wrong with D. Porthault ever, and Coeurs is one of their most iconic patterns–equally at home in a little girls room by Ruthie Sommers as in Rita Konig’s bedroom.
My Valentine to you: rhinestone x’s and o’s and a hot pink rose. Hope your day is filled with love–romantic or otherwise. I’ve still got sixteen more days to go without sugar so double up on the candy for me!

The candy hearts and cards are starting to appear on store shelves which means Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! After seven years together, we keep things pretty low key around here. I’d rather have a handwritten note than a dozen roses, and we tend to favor making a special meal at home than fighting for a reservation–last year I found the cutest heart shaped lobster ravioli at Eastern Market!
If there’s one thing I am a sucker for though, it’s a love story; and A Winter’s Tale scheduled to be released this Valentine’s Day looks to be a tearjerker! Watch the trailer above and you’ll see what I mean. Based on a novel by Mark Helprin, the film follows the unlikely romance between a burglar (Colin Farrell) and the sick young daughter (Jessica Brown Findlay–Lady Sybil!!) of the wealthy family he attempts to rob. Russel Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, and Will Smith round out the star studded cast.
See it with your girlfriends or capitalize on the one night a year you can get your significant other to watch a romantic movie with you. We’re just under three weeks away, but to get you feeling festive I’ve started pinning some inspiration for the perfect Valentine’s Day right over here.
Keeping it Real: This post was sponsored by WB Winter’s Tale through their partnership with POPSUGAR Select. While I was compensated to write a post about WB Winter’s Tale, all opinions are my own.

Love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. I happen to think that one of the reasons people hate Valentine’s Day is the cheese factor. Stuffed animals from CVS, cupids, and heart shaped jewelry (unless it’s this) I can do without.
I’d prefer to celebrate with a night out at one of my favorite restaurants and a heart felt card. But… if gifts were to be exchanged there are a few things I wouldn’t mind receiving. Hello, pink sapphire love knot ring and monogrammed robe.
If you’re not partnered up, there’s no reason not to show a little love to yourself, or maybe your mom, sister, or best girlfriend. I think this cheeky John Derian tray is pretty amazing (also available in “my love” and “desire“) and would actually prefer my roses in the form of a Diptyque candle instead of a bouquet.
Will you be celebrating or giving any gifts this year?
P.S for more Valentine’s Day gift ideas check out my Houzz post this month.
For a stationery hoarder like myself, a visit to Mr. Boddington’s Studio always results in new additions to my wish list. Their Valentine’s Day cards are cute as can be and almost make me wish I was on the female equivalent of Sister Wives (Brother Husbands??) so I could have a reason to buy both sets! All kidding aside, I think I’m leaning towards the eye chart. It reminds me of this poster I’ve been coveting from Keep Calm Gallery.
P.S Did you spot the Eames lounge chair on the second card? Now I might have to reconsider my choice. LOVE!
