Love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. I happen to think that one of the reasons people hate Valentine’s Day is the cheese factor. Stuffed animals from CVS, cupids, and heart shaped jewelry (unless it’s this) I can do without.

I’d prefer to celebrate with a night out at one of my favorite restaurants and a heart felt card. But… if gifts were to be exchanged there are a few things I wouldn’t mind receiving. Hello, pink sapphire love knot ring and monogrammed robe.

If you’re not partnered up, there’s no reason not to show a little love to yourself, or maybe your mom, sister, or best girlfriend. I think this cheeky John Derian tray is pretty amazing (also available in “my love” and “desire“) and would actually prefer my roses in the form of a Diptyque candle instead of a bouquet.

EYE LOVE YOU

For a stationery hoarder like myself, a visit to Mr. Boddington’s Studio always results in new additions to my wish list. Their Valentine’s Day cards are cute as can be and almost make me wish I was on the female equivalent of Sister Wives (Brother Husbands??) so I could have a reason to buy both sets! All kidding aside, I think I’m leaning towards the eye chart. It reminds me of  this poster I’ve been coveting from Keep Calm Gallery.

P.S Did you spot the Eames lounge chair on the second card? Now I might have to reconsider my choice. LOVE!

LOVE NOTES

You will certainly get lots of hugs and kisses if you send out gorgeous love notes this Valentine Day from Rifle Paper! I plan on picking up the assorted set because I couldn’t possibly decide on a favorite. I might even be tempted to frame one for my desk, they’re just SO pretty!
